The 3 kg jar
Whole gherkins, pickled tomatoes with herbs and sliced courgettes in brine; tomato juice with salt. One large format means less handling and less packaging in the kitchen; the glass closes again and the contents keep in the brine under refrigeration.
The 5 kg pail
Pasteurised tomato paste, 25 % dry matter, in a pail with a handle: a base for sauces, soups and braises in volume. It contains ascorbic acid, listed in the ingredients, and keeps for two years unopened.
Shelf life and storage
Unopened, the large formats keep for two to three years at 0 °C to +25 °C, a dry store, not a cold room. After opening, refrigerate in the brine or sauce.
